Whats the difference between type 1 and 2
Type 1 diabetes is often confused with type 2 diabetes. Knowing the difference is very important. Because if you don't know you may hurt a diabetics feelings. I have had comments like: Your too skinny to have diabetes or you ate too much sugar and if you stay on a diet it will go away.
No that's type 2! I mean if you met me you would see that I eat pretty healthy and exercise. I was confused and didn't even know what diabetes was when I was diagnosed! At schools they talk about diabetes but they mix type 1 and 2 together! I just gets me mad sometimes. I mean is it so hard to just teach both? I don't think so and if American girl does make diabetic supplies it would spread awareness! I know that if more people knew about both type 1 and 2 diabetes it would make it easer for newly diagnosed people. Also type 1 is an autoimmune disease and type 2 is a metabolic disease. PS.) (May have to look up some words thank you)Autoimmune is a disease resulting from a disordered immune reaction in which antibodies are produced against one's own tissues, as systemic lupus erythematous or rheumatoid arthritis. And metabolic is the process of converting food to energy on a cellular level. Thousands of enzymes participating in numerous interdependent metabolic pathways carry out this process. Metabolic diseases affect the ability of the cell to perform critical biochemical reactions that involve the processing or transport of proteins (amino acids), carbohydrates (sugars and starches), or lipids ( fatty acids). If you want to get a more specific definition look it up!

JDRF contest entry
Hey guys I just entered a contest for JDRF. It's a fun car designing contest for type 1 diabetics between the ages of 5 to 18. It raises money for JDRF to research diabetes and find out more about the disease. It works like this kids make car designs and send them in. Then JDRF picks some of the kids designs. Then after a certain date the top ten designs that have the most money donated to them will go to the finals. Please donate to my car here is the link:

diabetic doll
Hi guys sorry I haven't blogged in a while. It's Just that I have been wondering when the AG doll store is going to make diabetic accessories! I know they've made bald dolls for cancer. I have to give them credit for that. I just want my AG doll to have diabetic supplies like me! Is that too hard to ask for? I have been working on a glucose meter and they're printables. So if you go to my moms shop I'll be selling those soon.
